Lots of small things to cover tonight kiddos, so buckle up and let’s dive right into this:

14.5 Tips

  • Don’t go too fast.  This is a burner of a workout…. a freaking couplet chipper from hell.  Some brave souls got it done tonight and those who went too fast out the gate paid the price in rounds 18 and 15.
  • Break up the thrusters.  Unless you’re named Froning or Briggs, I think it’s a safe bet to break up the thrusters – even if you can knock out 21 in a row, it might not be the smartest thing.
  • Just keep moving. What stupid advice, I know. Find a nice comfortable pace and keep going, if you can.

That’s about it.  This workout smoked some people tonight.   Come into it with the mindset you’re going to finish it.   It’s hard, but not impossible – I’d like to see everyone make this workout their bitch tomorrow.

Potluck!

Tomorrow we’re planning a little potluck for the celebration of the end of the Open!  Come one, come all… and bring anything you want to contribute to the festivities.  It’s not paleo, so don’t worry about all that… let’s just cheer each other on and have a good time for our last Friday Night Lights of 2014.

Schedule Changes

CrossFit Lite

All CrossFit Lite classes will be 45 minutes long starting Monday.  All the same good stuff, just a little more compacted to allow for easier transmission from Lite to General CrossFit.

Also, starting next week, Lite will have a Monday Wednesday and Friday class at 9:00AM!  We hope you join us for some morning workouts as we start to open the schedule up some more!

Torrance CrossFit Youth Academy

We know the Youth Academy classes have not formally been launched yet, but they will be held on Friday at 4:15PM and Saturday at 10:00AM.  Youth Academy are also 45 minutes long.
