I’d like to formally introduce everyone to Coach Robbie! Even though he’s been here for a little while, here is a little background info as well as some fun facts!
1.) Tell us a little about yourself..
I am 19 years old and have been in Torrance my whole life. I graduated from South High in 2016. I am currently going to Cal State Fullerton and majoring in Kinesiology with a concentration in strength and conditioning. I played one year of collegiate soccer for Cal State Fullerton my freshman year. I will be a sophomore going into this upcoming year. Outside of working out and coaching my hobbies are juijitsu and spear fishing.
2.) How did you get into CrossFit?
I got into Crossfit because of soccer. I met up with a CrossFit coach for agility and foot work training but he soon realized, my foot work and agility was fine it was my cardio, and then there he implemented sport specific training for soccer and conditioning and from there on I slowly moved into CrossFit.
3.) What made you want to become a coach?
I wanted to become a coach because i wanted to help improve people’s fitness and lifestyle since a coach I had made such a positive effect in my life , making me want to have a positive effect in others.
4.) What is your favorite movement/workout?
I wouldn’t say I have a favorite movement in CrossFit but my favorite workouts are always hero wods. I love these workouts because these workouts are for the ones who have fallen in duty and by doing them we pay them respect and thanks for their ultimate sacrifice.
5.) Tell us an interesting fact about you..
A fun fact about me is that when I was 5 I bit of my tongue and the doctors had to stitch it back on.
