As Dan mentioned before, we are so excited to get some new programs started and the first of many is CrossFit Lite.

Body weight movements will be common in Lite classes, but we will use all our equipment as well!

What is CrossFit Lite?

A CF Lite workout has the same principles as a regular CrossFit class (Constantly varied, high intensity, functional movement) except we will focus mainly on Metabolic Conditioning (Met Con) with scaled down weights or body weight movements. This is the perfect introduction to CrossFit if you are a little hesitant about doing a workout.

Who is CrossFit Lite for?

While CrossFit Lite is made to remove some of the more complicated and intimidating aspects of CrossFit from the daily regimen, it’s not necessarily tailored for beginners.  If you’ve been lifting heavy lately or need to work on your cardio-this will be a great workout! Just because there’s no heavy weights doesn’t mean it will be easy!

CrossFit Lite classes will run on the weekends only.  Saturday and Sunday at 9:30am.  Our inaugral class will be Saturday, September 14th at 9:30am. Fit Lab members are welcome to join or there’s a regular class at 10:30am..Or if you’re crazy, you could do both!

If you’re not a Fit Lab member, we will be selling CrossFit Lite memberships soon, which will give you full access to our CrossFit Lite classes.  Look for that announcement soon!

That same day, we’ll be having another Fit Lab outing doing Stand up paddleboarding!  Also, a few of our Fit Lab members are going to be doing the Tough Mudder in San Diego in November so if anyone is interested let us know!
