Meet Your Coach For Life

Once you’ve decided you want to get into the best shape of your life and contact us, your coach will reach out to you.  They will schedule a one on one private consultation with you to understand your goals and assess where you are.

What To Expect
  • A one hour private consultation with a coach.
  • An in depth understanding of what your personal needs and goals are.
  • A full explanation of our Fitness System, why it works and how it will apply to you.
  • If applicable, a full FMS Movement Screen and personal fitness evaluation.

The Fundamentals

Our unique 1-1 Fundamentals process allows Your Coach For Life to take you from the couch to the group class in a safe, practical way.

What To Expect
  • 15 (average) Private lessons to teach you the Fundamental movements and concepts of our fitness system.
  • To establish a great relationship with your Coach for Life, allowing them to get to understand your personal strengths and limitations.
  • To learn.  About movement, fitness, different types of training, nutrition, and most importantly yourself.
  • To have a lot of fun.

Group Training

After graduating Fundamentals, you will join our Group Fitness classes.  During this phase you will be introduced to the amazing community of Torrance CrossFit and begin working out in the group setting.

What To Expect
  • To apply the knowledge you’ve obtained in Fundamentals in a group class setting.
  • Pre-programmed and structured fitness classes which will address all modalities of fitness.
  • More time and freedom to explore, express, and progress your fitness.

Ongoing Coach Check-Ins

4 times per year you will circle back up with Your Coach for Life for ongoing consulting.  This consultation allows you to review and adjust your current goals with your coach as well as record baseline information about your progress.

What To Expect
  • A review of your baseline body composition.
  • A chance to review previous goals set.
  • The ability to set goals for the upcoming training period.

Specialty Courses and Events

As you progress in your fitness journey, you can optionally participate in numerous Specialty Courses, Clinics, Seminars and other events we host at The Training Lab during the year.

These can range from more finely tuned specialty classes to in-house friendly competitions.  They are all designed to help you enhance your experience and increase your fitness levels in fun, well-planned, interactive ways.

Joining The Community

One of the key and intangible differences of The Training Lab lies within our community.  We are a group of friendly, like minded people who have come together to help and encourage each other to find happier, healthier lives.

One facet of our gym is community events.  Frequently during the year we will host community events.  From beach days to sports days, from day hikes to mud runs, from to baby showers and movie nights, we get together as a family and experience life together.

This community bond is immeasurable, and helps us all stay committed to finding fitness!
