After last weekend at Regionals, Dan came up with a brilliant(?) idea for anyone interested to see what Jamie and all the other athletes actually experience. It was decided that the guys in the gym would use the weights the girls used at Regionals and the girls would use a scaled weight. Day 1 started on Tuesday with Randy (75 snatches for time) and then later that day, we did Tommy V (rope climbs and thrusters). They both were much more tiring than we thought, it’s crazy to see Jamie and all the girls make it seem like nothing. Day 2 we were all dreading, it was the chipper then handstand walks and snatch. By Thursday, we were so sore and tired, but knew it was the last day and most of us couldn’t do the muscle up workout anyways so we powered through. Friday was rough and our bodies were broken and Dan even got sick! Needless to say, we won’t be doing this again for Games..

In the end, we all decided we had greatest respect and awe for these athletes competing at that level. These are the top women in California! Jamie loved every second of it when we would come in complaining of our soreness and fatigue. It was a great experience to even get a glimpse of what they go through. So if you participated with us, Thank you! Everyone did awesome and you should be proud of yourselves for participating in all the workouts!
